Is doing a hard running routine combined with lifting wight ideal for both weight loss and building strength?

I’m in the process of developing muscle and recently began running about three miles, three times per week and am starting to feel my arms and legs get smaller.

What is a good running (or cardio schedule in general) to follow in order to shed weight without compromising strength from weight training?

Any other tips would be extremely helpful, thank you.

You’re not compromising your strength, you’re losing fat. You may notice that in addition to feeling smaller, your arms and legs are more defined. The schedule you’re on is fine.
