How To Kick For The Knockout In MMA – Mixed Martial Arts

Striking should be the first part of your fight game that you give significant attention towards. Usually fighters start out learning how to use their hands. After training hands for a while you work kicks into it, and that is where you can begin to add difficulty to any opponent you strike with.

Train Core and Legs.

The best kicks in MMA are often thrown by fighters like Anderson Silva, or Mirko Cro-Cop. Often makes you wonder how they can get all that power in each kick. Cro-Cop’s tree trunks leg might give you an idea of how powerful the man’s legs are.

The leg exercises and rotary power of your core can be of utmost importance when it comes to kicking power. Use big muscle group exercises to get more power behind your kicks.

The Heavy Bag.

Your new friend, actually best friend, is going to be the heavy bag. When everyone is done training, you’re going to go kick the bag using combinations with hands. If you want to develop great kicking power you have to train harder than those around you.

Make sure you are practicing with proper technique from the beginning and then work your way up to higher intensity. The better technique you use will supplement how hard and powerful you’re able to kick.

Rinse and Repeat.

You must practice this everyday, once a week is not enough. To really build power you need to practice hard and often.

From there you can increase the set amount of kicks you are throwing or rounds in which you are throwing kicking combinations.

The techniques that are shown in an MMA training program can sharpen your skill better than singly going to your local club. Utilize one and get to that next level of fighter.
